DMC Color Variations Floss

You may or may not have already discovered this floss.  It’s the new version of DMC’s old varigated floss which was dyed in sucessive colors from light to dark in three ranges: light, medium, dark.  This new floss is designed more in the style of hand dyed variations of colors in a theme thereby adding in more interest in your embroideries.   You don’t have to change your floss to get those cool effects of thread painting or picture smocking.  Try this floss in your smocking whether it be geometric or picture.  Of course in some picture smocking designs the color variation would interfere with the image but if you’re smocking a heart or a goldfish tail using the DMC color variations floss will add new dimensions to your color pallet.
